Classic Butter Sponge Cake


السلام عليكم....

Satu lagi resepi kek i nak share dr cookingfun.com . Rasa kek ni sgt moist & fluffy, sedap klu diletak jem @ kastard.. tp i wat plain je sbb nak experiment rasa dia dulu, then rasa lemak2 butter & susu tu sedapppp sgt, kek ni pon xperlukan ovallete, kebanyakan i tgk resepi kita byk yg letak ovallete utk lembutkan kek, disebabkan ovallete tu dikategorikan dlm stabilisers/ emulsifiers so i jarang guna, satu-satunya kek yg i guna pun kek marble, tp ada juga resepi kek marble tanpa ovallete.. lgpun i rasa klu xguna ovallete kek tetap lembut klu guna teknik yg betul, contohnya kaup balik & pengasingan telur putih & kuning, contoh cam resepi dibawah ni, i bagi nama klasik sbb ia adalah resepi asal kek butter & dgn adanya teknik kaupbalik, so kek butter menjadi tekstur spt spongecake.... hmmm ni pandangan i la setelah i kaji2, selidik2, rasa, makan, balun semu cukup, so i lebih suka guna cara klasik cenggini berbanding guna bahan 'advance' (stabilisers, emulsifiers) utk hasil yg cepat, baru betul2 HOME-MADE cake! klu x rasa sama je la gan kek di kedai tu.. ngheee

BAHAN :
* utk tin bulat 7', double adunan dibawah :)

2 eggs
4 oz/ 115g plain flour
4 oz/ 115g icing sugar
4 oz/ 114g butter melted (or 2 oz oil and 2 oz butter)
2-3 tbspn milk * add more if the batter thick
1 tspn baking powder

Procedure:

1. Separate egg yolk and egg white.
2. Beat egg white gently with electric beater so that white smooth foam will form.
3. Add icing sugar in it and beat to form cream like texture.
4. In other bowl beat egg yolk and butter (or oil).
5. Mix both the mixture and beat for 2 minutes.
6. Mix plain flour and baking powder well in separate bowl. For better mixing pass the dry mixture through drainer so that all the air passes through the mixture.
7. Gradually mix flour in the egg yolk mixture with wood stick. Then add the egg white mixture.
8. Add small quantity of milk in it to make batter slightly light (thin). * Add more milk if the batter is thick. If pour from spoon then no batter should stick on the spoon.
9. Preheat OVEN at 180C. Put the mixture in the baking bowl and bake for 20-30 minutes. To check weather the cake is done, insert knife in the cake take out if no batter stick on it, then cake is ready :))

Drizzle with chocolate sauce !

Sooooo moist!

rajinnya toke kek ni buat kek..nampak sedap tu. moist dan gebus tgk kek ni lyn.sedapnya kalau dpt rasa ni..hehe
