Chocolate Swissroll with HOME-MADE Cherry filling

Ni 1 st time i wat swissroll, agak mencabar juga cara nak gulung kek ni supaya nampak kemas & cantik, tp i wt ni agak comot, lps ni sure nak wat lagi!! sedap, lembut & manis2 buah, klu beli di kedai manis teramat, da la jem manis, kek pon manis..huhu. And yg bestnya, i terrrr rajin nak wat home-made jem, kebetulan ada balance cherry dlm fridge, dr rosak camtu je baik buat sesuatu.. hihiiii, nnti i share resepi jem yea, mudah je:)).. two kiddo sukeee sgt swissroll ni, xcukup segulung ni..huhu, nnti mama wat lebih ya:))... uols kena try resepi ni, yg leceh bab nak gulung je tp senang resepi ni, actualy ni resepi kek chocolate chiffon biasa, then i saja try resepi yg sama utk jadikan swissroll, mmg sedap! Klu xberapa clear cara i tulis kt bawah tu, korang ble try tanya en youtube ye.. hehhee. * Hmm.. baru rasa seronok panas terik selama 2minggu, arini da stat hujan.. sejukkkkk..iskk, dugaan..dugaan




Kek Chiffon (Sumber - kejusedap-acx-comm.com) :

30g serbuk koko
1/2C air panas
1st chocolate emulco/paste
4 kuning telur Gred A
100g gula kastor
130g tepung naik sendiri
1/2st baking powder
1/2st soda bikarbonat
1/4C minyak masak
1st esen vanila
4 putih telur Gred A
1/4st cream of tartar
65g gula kastor

Hiasan :
Whipping cream
Jem - i buat jem cherry
Icing sugar ~ agak2 manis
Cherry 400g
Sedikit air

Larutkan serbuk koko dengan air panas (dan chocolate emulco). Ketepikan.
Dalam satu bekas, campurkan kuning telur, 100g gula kastor, tepung naik sendiri, baking powder, soda bikarbonat, minyak masak, dan esen vanila. Masukkan larutan koko tadi dan kacau rata.
Dalam bekas lain, pukul putih telur hingga berbuih. Masukkan cream of tartar dan separuh dari 65g gula. Pukul dengan kelajuan tinggi, masukkan selebih gula dan pukul hingga kental.
Gunakan kaedah kaup balik, kaupkan adunan putih telur ke dalam adunan tadi.
Tuang dalam baking pan yg dilapis dgn baking paper & ratakan, then bakar pd suhu 180C selama 15 minit @ sehingga masak. Terbalikkan kek atas redai, tanggalkan baking paper dan sejukkan.
Cara gulung : Letakkan kek yg telah sejuk atas towel, then sapu jem hingga rata. Kemudian sapu whip cream hingga rata. Dgn perlahan2 gulung kek dgn mgunakan towel dgn berhati2, terus gulung hingga habis, then potong sisi kek, alihkan kek ke dlm pinggan, hias dgn icing sugar & cherry:)) Sedap dimakan ketika sejuk... nyummmm
Cara utk buat JEM : Potong 2 buah ceri & keluarkan biji, then masukkan dlm periuk bersama sedikit air (supaya buah xhangus), gaul hingga mendidih, kemudian masukkan gula icing & terus gaul hingga pekat, lumatkan buah jika perlu, biar agak sejuk & masukkan dlm jar, bole terus guna:)

Old Trafford, Manchester United.. another great weekend!!

السلام عليكم....
Ni aktiviti Sabtu lepas, cuaca cantik so pe lagi, g jenjalan la, pantang panas skit mesti nak keluar rumah.. hehe. Kmi ni bukan peminat MU pon tp tringin gak nak jejakkan kaki ke tempat yg menjadi pujaan peminat MU seluruh dunia.. hehe, so layan je la pic yg i sempat ambil ni, time kami g tu xde game so lapang la parking cuma yg tourist mmg ramai, kmi ni mencelah la konon2 pelancong luar... wakakaa, ramai i tgk dr jepun, china, france.. masing2 dtg gan bas pelancongan & tourist guide memasing:). Kebetulan ms otw kmi lalu di area Peak District, ni kawasan pekampungan yg sgt cantik, ada ladang rapeseed, english cottage, farm house, kuda, sheep, kawasan bukit yg curam & tasik semulajadi... sempat juga i ambil pic, nak stop xbole sbb jalan area ni sempit sgt, so jom layan pic di bawah k...








Nampak x yg tompok putih2 gebu itueee.. hehehe.. its shaun the sheep!! hahaha

Lepas nyoping, kita posing lak.. skang ni si aiman pantang nampak shop, mesti tarik tgn mama abah nak masuk shopping, hahhaaa, mama da ada geng!! Dpt satu beg cukup la, br dia puas hati & nak balik.. hehe, like mama like son ehh!

Jalan2 sekitar bandar Manchester..


Dlm pejalanan balik, ada ternampak kincir angin ni, cantikkk sgt, sorry pic pon xclear, time ni atas highway, xsabar nak tunggu trip ke Belgium nak tgk perkampungan Dutch yg ada kincir angin.. ahaks... otw balik tu jiran i cal ajak dinner kat rumah... alhamdulillah, rezeki org nak jamu makan.. hhehe, wat a great weekend! Tp sebelum g dinner kmi singgah beli ole2 dulu, yela xsempat nak wat apa2 da jemputan last minute.. i beli chocolate spongecake wit cream sebiji.. hehe.. besttt sgt dpt makan2 cenggini, tetambah time weekend, terubat rasa rindu kat family bila dpt berkumpul ramai2, tp time ni kmi kumpul geng2 firth park jela, ada 5 family je ..


Menu yg bestttt... tp lambat snap pic, da abis balun br tringat.. hahhaha.. ada mee kari, mee goreng mamak superb, pulut & serunding, pizza & southern fried chicken wit fries... hohooooo... hehe, sos Lingam ponnnnn ada!

Kuih lapis tuan rumah yg buat & kek chocolate yg i bawa..


Aqil sronok jumpa Adam.. dorg satu nursery:).. belakang tu k.hanim, org perelih... hehhe, merangkap makcik urut Sheffield.. tp depa nak balik da thn ni..iskk


Sempat posing gan yana & little auni... wife pd tuan penghulu Sheffield :)


Lepas selesai makan, sambil mkn dessert.. hehe, selagi xbalik slagi tu dok makan! Kami layan cerekarama dulu, haa ingat org Msia je ke tgk cerekarama ari Sabtu... hehehe


Ehemmm... nghee, layan di iPad je la, bole la...huhu


Ha dua org ni mmg xbole berenggang... hamboi bkn main baby mama ni, pantang nampak kakak Aien (anak k.hanim).. hehehee


Ok, setakat ni sj al kisah di hujung minggu, rasa cepat sgt masa berlalu.. esok da masuk hari Rabu...
Semlm 21 Mei adalah malam 1 Rejab dimana salah satu malam Allah SWT bukakan pintu langit @ dikenali sbg bulan Istighfar. Mudah-mudahan Allah ampunkan dosa dan juga makbulkan doa kita pada malam tersebut. Insyallah....

Rainbow Layer Cake


Alrite, arini i nak share resepi rainbow layer cake yg best ni!! Hehehe. Resepi asal dr Kaitlin Flannery, tp i copy dr Martha Stewart Show website.


BAHAN : * Sebaiknya guna loose base tin cake @ springform tin cake saiz 9'

Vegetable shortening ~ sapu pada tin kek
3 cups all-purpose flour 
4 teaspoons baking powder 
1/2 teaspoon salt 
2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter, room temperature 
2 1/3 cups sugar 
5 large egg whites, room temperature 
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract 
1 1/2 cups milk, room temperature 
Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple (klu xde, campur merah & biru) gel food coloring 
Lemony Swiss Meringue Buttercream ~ i guna fresh cream frosting

Directions : 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush six 9-inch-round cake pans (or as many 9-inch cake pans as you have, reusing them as necessary) with shortening. Line bottom of each cake pan with parchment paper; brush again and set aside. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream together butter and sugar. Slowly add egg whites and mix until well combined. Add vanilla and mix until fully incorporated. Add flour mixture and milk in two alternating additions, beginning with the flour and ending with the milk. Mix until well combined. Divide batter evenly between six medium bowls. Add enough of each color of food coloring to each bowl, whisking, until desired shade is reached. Transfer each color to an individual cake pan. Transfer to oven and bake until a cake tester inserted into the center of each cake comes out clean, about 15 minutes (working in batches if necessary). Remove cakes from oven and transfer to a wire rack; let cool for 10 minutes. Invert cakes onto a wire rack; re-invert and let cool completely. Using a serrated knife, trim tops of cakes to make level. Place four strips of parchment paper around perimeter of a serving plate or lazy Susan. Place the purple layer on the cake plate. Spread a scant 1 cup buttercream filling over the first layer with a small offset spatula so it extends just beyond edges. Repeat process with blue, green, yellow, and orange layers. Place the remaining red layer on top, bottom-side up. Gently sweep away any loose crumbs with a pastry brush. Using an offset spatula, cover the top and sides with a thin layer of frosting (also use any of the excess frosting visible between the layers). Refrigerate until set, about 30 minutes. Using an offset spatula, cover cake again with remaining frosting.

Tadaaa..... credit tu Asma, thanks tolong amik pic, tuan buat kek tringinnn nak tgk..hihiiii, sukeee tgk rainbow layer tu, mmg leceh nak buat tp sgt2 berbaloi!! Setiap layer kek dimasak lebih kurang 15minit dgn menggunakan spring form tin, klu bole jgn guna tin foil 9' sbb setiap layer ni sgt nipis so klu guna tin foil ssh nak dapatkan layer yg sekata, xcantik laa bila potong.. hehee.. Selamat Mencuba!
